Get a Telegram message when someone joins

Open Settings → Add-ons → Telegram Alerts (or Settings → Telegram Alerts). You will need two things, both of which you get inside Telegram itself:

1) A bot token. In Telegram, message @BotFather, choose New Bot, give it a name, and it hands you a long token like 1234567890:AA.... 2) Your chat ID. Message @userinfobot and it replies with your numeric ID. Paste both into the settings page and press Save & send test.

One catch: a brand-new bot cannot message you until you message it first – so open your new bot in Telegram and tap Start before you run the test. After that, you get a friendly ping every time a church-family member joins through your Welcome page. You enter your own token; we never see it.
