Delivery zones and the delivery fee

← Help Center

This is the only thing on your store that can add a delivery charge. Pickup locations that are marked as delivery handle who may order and where it goes; they have no fee behind them. If you want members charged for delivery, you need this.

It ships switched off. Installing it changes nothing at all until you go to Logistics → Settings and switch it on. Until then no fee can appear on any order, so it is safe to have sitting there while you set it up.

Set up a zone. A zone is an area you deliver to, defined by zip codes, counties or states. Each zone carries its own delivery day, its own ordering cut-off, and its own fee — a flat amount, tiers by order value, or by weight. You can give a zone a free-delivery threshold, and you can add a box charge if you deliver in a returnable container.

A $0.00 delivery line is shown on purpose. If a member’s order has earned free delivery, the order says “Delivery $0.00” rather than saying nothing. Silence reads as “delivery has not been worked out yet”; a zero reads as “this is covered”.

The fee is frozen when you pack. Once an order is packed, its delivery charge is fixed at what it was, even if you change the zone’s rates afterwards. A member is charged what they were quoted.
