Bundles & Boxes: the three ways to sell things together
Turn it on under Settings → Add-ons → Bundles & Boxes → See more. It ships switched off, so nothing changes on your store until you turn it on.
There are three ways to sell several things as one, and they suit different jobs:
- A fixed box. One line on the order at one price — a weekly veg box, a starter bundle. You decide what is in it and you pack the same thing for everyone. Simplest to pack, simplest for the member to understand.
- A flexible bundle. The parts stay as separate lines, and the saving holds as long as the whole set is in the basket. If a member removes one part, the saving comes off — the bundle is not there any more. Good when you want people to see exactly what they are getting.
- A box the member fills. You set the size and the rules (“any 6 jars”), they choose. Good for preferences and allergies without you managing a dozen variations.
How the money shows. A bundle saving is always one visible line on the order, never a quietly-changed item price. That matters more than it sounds: a fee line survives pack-day weight changes, where an edited price does not. It also means the member can see what they saved, and so can you.
Open orders. Members can add to an order until the deadline, so a bundle has to survive the order being rebuilt. It does — but if you change what is in a bundle while orders are open, existing orders keep what they were sold. Change the bundle for next week, not this one.
