Packing when the wifi is out (Offline Packing Day)
Some barns the wifi just doesn’t reach. Turn on Add-ons → Offline Packing Day and the Packing Day screen keeps working with no signal at all. Every weight, tick, note, out-of-stock, shortage and substitution saves onto the device the moment you make it – and waits there safely even if the tab closes or the battery dies.
A bar under the heading always tells you where you stand: saved on this device (green, automatic) and how many changes are not yet sent to the internet. When a signal comes back it sends everything up on its own, and there’s a Save to internet button you can press yourself for peace of mind. Any price the farm site has to work out shows as a dash until you save, so you never read a wrong number – it fills in exactly once it syncs.
Open it with wifi first (so it can load your orders and item list), then you can go offline. On a laptop, keep it awake with the tab open. Turn the add-on off any time and Packing Day goes right back to exactly how it works today.
