Why a change can take a few minutes to show

Your store now serves its pages from a fast cache, so shoppers get near-instant load times. The trade-off is small but worth knowing: when you change a product, price, photo, or menu, a logged-out visitor may keep seeing the older version for up to about 30 minutes while the saved copy refreshes.

A few things that help:

• While you’re logged in you always see your changes right away. To see exactly what a shopper sees, open your store in a private/incognito window.
• Your cart and checkout are never cached — ordering is always live and correct.
• If you need a change to go public immediately, just ask us — the cache can be cleared in seconds. (We’re also adding an automatic clear-on-save so this short wait goes away entirely.)
